Teenage boys, got to love them right?

Some days you feel like why, why, why? Like why did I think having two babies close together would be a great thing. Because they are so cute and fun and loving, they don't talk back or fight nonstop with someone in the family. When they wake up as babies crying you could hold them give them some love and life would be just great for you and the baby. I now understand why women would say "it's a good thing they come as a baby". Well these days in my house I have two fun loving teenage boys. I do love having them around and I love that to Josh I am getting shorter. And that Travis' biggest goal these days is to be taller them me. I love that they like to joke with me and scare me with "mom there is a spider on you", which seems to be their favorite thing to do to me lately (yes, I do jump). I love being able to talk to them about life and give them advice on the crazy girls and why they are chasing after them when they can't stand them. But lately now that school is almost over and Josh is getting ready for high school, and Travis being done with his first year of jr. high. Their attitudes are more like this picture... Yes your right, they are driving me crazy. If I hear one more time, "yes mom what ever you want mom" said in a way that makes me sound stupid for even asking. Or "I'm starving" a half hour after eating a big meal I think I will be crazy. Don't get me wrong I love them more than I could express in words. But I think I'm going broke with trying to feed them and clothe them they way they would like. To keep them in shoes, with Josh it seems every few weeks he needs new ones. I didn't know feet could grow so fast, even buying them bigger sized doesn't seem to work. I love to cook and bake anyone that knows me, knows this is a true fact, but I'm getting tried of cooking big meals all the time and making sure I have baked something as well for them to eat a few minutes later. Now that my family is moving into the next chapter of our lives TEENAGERS it's a learning experience for all. I have two little boys as well, who talk and act like their older bothers. So I get to have a lot more years of teenager attitude with them I do have to say with them it is a whole lot cuter. Teenage boys, got to love them...

(Yes , I am done complaining if I couldn't complain to my blog I would for sure be crazy locked up in my room.)

I'm trying!!!

So I have been trying to drink 8 glasses of water a day, this is a harder task than I thought. I also am trying to workout at least 4 days a week, this is a harder task than I thought as well. So I thought if I start blogging about it and let people know then maybe a will keep things up and reach my goal by vacation time! Yes, I want to look good for my vacation ,good thing it is at the end of the summer because I'm not even close to my goal for the beginning of summer. So lets see how things are looking, for the past few days, (yes I just started over AGAIN this Monday) I have drank almost 8 glasses a day. Last night my body let me know that drinking clean water is WORKING. I am to the point already that drinking water in not very tasty so I got some lemons to help me keep it up. Maybe adding some flavor will help without the calories. And to the working out I will have you all know I have kept it up. All but Wednesday I have done a workout that has burned at least 400 to 500 calories or that is what my treadmill tells me. My legs and behind tell me I am burning at least 1000 calories. All in all I feel better I have energy to get up and clean and work, to go out and play with my kids. So as I said "I'm trying"...

Words only a 3 year old would say...

Benjamin Jordan Squire 3 years old
So Ben is getting big and before I forget what cute words he said as a little guy, I thought I would write them down. So here goes...

Yak kin (napkin)

Mom I loves to me (mom I love you)

Firstee ( thirsty)

Whenever anyone asks him to do anything he doesn't like he will say, "Hims don't think so!"

His favorite words to say at any given time "What the ".
and when some one hurts him or his feelings and they tell him they are sorry, he tells them, "sorry not cut it".
I did that last day, (I did that yesterday.)
That's so lame...
That's freakin' awesome...
and do you know what pepper jack cereal is? Apple Jacks...
One of his new things to say, "mom did I do this when I was borned?" Instead of when I was born did I?
I'm sure as time goes by I will be adding a lot more fun things to this list but for now,

WHAT THE...

Happy Mother's Day 2010...

My Children and I on Mother's Day, Josh, Trav, Ben, me, Jake, and Miss Meg... (and the flowers Jake made for me) When your a little girl there is one thing you play and want to be most in life a mom. You have lots of dolls and Barbie's you play with, dress up and pretend to feed, change diapers and so on.

Then there is one person you look up to and learn how to be a mom from, your mom. Today after laying in bed listening to my kids yell be quiet mom is sleeping and once again yelling to the little guys don't go into mom's room we are not ready. I like that they were trying to be secret by yelling, makes laying in bed more fun. I was thinking how my family is not prefect and as a mom I have a lot to learn still, but one thing I did prefect was have five beautiful children. I got to dress them up, feed them (and with my teenagers this tasks feels like all day long), change many, many diapers, (again finally done with this task yippee), and so on. I never knew all those years ago all the jobs and hats my mom would wear as I was looking up to her and wanting to be her. There are 8 children in my family and my mom always had us bathed, our clothes pressed and our hair done nice and neat. We didn't have a lot of money but my mom would spend hours way into the night sewing jeans and shirts that look like name brand. Our house was always very clean and well kept. For awhile I thought the reason she had all of us was to be her maids, now my kids say the same about me. I now know that in order to have nice things we all have to work together to get it done. My mom was a great cook she still is and sometimes I really miss some of her comfort foods she would make. I make them or I should say I try they just don't taste the same. Every week she would make about 10 loafs of bread, dozens of cookies and the dinner menu was planned, all to keep us feed. I loved when Christmas and Easter would come because we would get a beautiful dress she would have made for us girls. She was always taking one of us kids to one thing or another, doing laundry, cooking, cleaning up and always had time to serve in her calling giving a 100% to the Lord. Yesterday after my special breakfast of slightly over done muffins my mom called to wish me happy mother's day. I just then realized how much I missed my mom this mother;s day. I couldn't stop thinking of her and all she has done for me in my life all the gifts she has given me, and I don't mean the material ones. But the love and caring of others, the serving the Lord above all things and the always knowing who I am and what I stand for. The always do your best even if you don't what to and it's never about you it about others around you. So here's to you mom and all the things you are to me, there is so many it would take two books to write them all. Here's to you for helping me through your example be the best I can be! I lOvE YOu...

I have to wait until this weekend when it come to theater's. Well when she got home I was all excited to here how the movie was and if it was a cute movie for me to see. This is what she had to say about this movie, if anyone is wanting to know if they should go see it or not. "Mom, it was ok but there was a lot of kissing and old people get married, GROSS". So there you have it from a 10 year old girl critic who loves chick flicks!!!
