My Baby Girl is growing up...

My Miss Meg is growing up, really she has been for the past year, I just don't want to acknowledge it. She will be 12 and in young women's in 18 days. Well, as part of being a mom you have to learn that you too have to grow up with your children and except the fact that one day your babies will not be babies any more. That they will no longer want or need you to tell them what to wear, eat, play, or when to go to sleep. Instead they will need you to open your wallet whenever needed to them, pay for all of their activities, drive them and their friends all over the city, attend all of their games, help at their school and in their classroom, and still feed them on demand. Still I love being their mom, just would love them to want to sit on my lap or want me to kiss their boo boos again. So last night my Miss Meg made dinner for the family as part of a school assignment. She made a yummy dinner, she made calzones. She rolled out the dough, it was a lot harder than she thought it would be, she put all the topping on and she baked them. Her older brothers loved her and thought only good things about her last night. They were even willing to get up and help clean the kitchen. Good job Meg I don't even get that nice of treatment. She also prepared a salad, set the table and cleaned up her mess from preparing dinner.

Here is Meg and her yummy dinner right out of the oven...
Here is the family getting ready to eat Meg's hard work...
( Just remember she has 4 brothers and they all seem to be crazy)

Squire Christmas 2011...

So here it is January and I am finally blogging about the Squire Magnificent Christmas 2011. It was a very nice holiday and for some wonderful reason our December turned out to be slow and nice, easy going LOVED IT!!! So we begin on Christmas Eve we started the day with the best breakfast of the year according to my family. We got up early and headed over to grandpa and grandma Squire's famous Christmas breakfast. Yes it was yummy, I even remembered my camera but forgot to take pictures. I knew I would be helping in the kitchen and had planned it all out to have Josh take some for me but what can I say with all the excitement of Christmas Eve I forgot to ask. Lucky me by the time we got to evening and the Light family Christmas Eve party Lynn was on broad and took some for me. AGAIN I was put in charge of the play so lucky me had to be part of the pictures. Something people I avoid at all costs!!!
Jake was Joseph this year, my niece Kate Lynn was Mary...
(Jake calls her Katie Potatie)
Ben was a very Wise Man...
For Christmas Santa left a great family gift a pool table/ping pong
The kids/family LOVED it. They still do...
This is how the men of the family spent their Christmas day/night.
What can I say they are men (and so serious to)!!!
We really had a nice and relaxing Christmas, first time in years. No places to go no people to have to go see. We went to church and was able to feel the true spirit of Christmas. I am so thankful to my Savor and for his love for me, for his willing to come to earth and pay for my sins. For his willing to give me the best Christmas gift I will ever receive, eternal life and my family forever...
