Happy Valentines Day

Here we are again another valentines day has come and gone and all we have to show for it is a lot of running around and candy.... I want to start by saying how lucky I am to have such a great husband and family. These days I spend most of my day in the car running from one event to the next with my kids. The older my family gets, the faster I have to run! I want to tell Lynn thank you for loving me and our family so much to work as hard as you do so that I can stay home with our children. These days I know it's very hard to not have both parents work and bring in an income. Before we were married Lynn and I talked about how every decision we make will be with just his income in mind. We both knew how important it would be for me to be home with our kids. Now I am starting to see how important it is and how blessed my family has been because of this decision. As much as I love being home, lately I do think of running away a few times each week. With Lynn's new job and me running the boys from here to there by the weekend we are both ready for a date night. So here is to my real valentines day gift Friday night date night with the most wonderful, loving, kind man, my valentine Lynn. I love what our love has created one very busy but special family...

I LOVE YOU LYNN

My baby Girl is 11...

My Meg is turning 11 February 8th. She has been such a wonderful blessing in my life, I'm so thankful she picked our family to come to. When Lynn and I found out we were expecting a girl it was hard to believe. Our family had been boy centered for five years. Could it really be a girl, could our wish really come true? I was afraid and just knew she was a boy. I didn't buy any girl things but 1 pair of shoes, I just didn't want to jinks it, I'm glad I was wrong. We went into the hospital around 7:30 in the morning of February 8th. Lynn and I couldn't wait for her arrival. Lucky me my labors are only about 4 hours and so at 11:06 am Meg was born. She weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and was 21 inches long. Kind of small for me, and considering I had her natural because of a mix up and the doctor thought I wanted to feel the birth it is one day I will always remember. She was round already and we called her peach because when she cried her face would turn red and with her white hair fuzz she looked like a peach. She has been such a great blessing in our home, with her always willing to take such good care of her little brother Jake. I have never had to worry about him at school, or outside playing when Meg is around. She is always willing to step up and help where ever it is needed. She is not afraid to keep her dad and mom on top of family scriptures reading, family prayer, and family home evening. Really she has kept our family on the strait and narrow path. I'm so grateful for such a beautiful spirit in our home. Don't get me wrong she is a very strong personality and I feel for anyone that crosses her. She can hold her own, I think living in a house with 4 brothers she has learned a lot about that. She can really be a spit fire when she wants to be, but is a girly, girl as well. Almost to the point I'm thankful the Lord has sent me just one girl, I don't know if I could have handled more. I just want to wish her Happy Birthday, and thank her for picking me to be her mom how blessed am I. Here is to many, many more great birthday's....

Here are some pic's of Meg this past year...
These two picture's really show all of her personality

She loves being a big sister, her brothers are blessed to have her as a sister. I'm hoping one day they can see that...

She always bring laughter and fun to our family...
