First day of school 2010...

Here we are again the beginning of a new school year. This year I have to say it's been a little hard for me, my oldest Josh is in high school. Not only that but attending my high school, it is kinda fun that he comes to me with questions on how to get around and where the halls and classes are. It just all seems crazy to me to have him there, not only that he is taking college classes and SLCC. I can remember his first day of school, he started Kindergarten on his 5th birthday, and now he is in 10th grade and getting ready to drive. Josh and Trav are way to cool to be caught getting a picture taken for the new school year, so just imagine the two most good looking teenage boys and you will get Josh and Trav who by the way is starting 8th grade. Meg is starting 5th and Jake is starting 2nd, I am a little nervous about Jake but I know I have to let him grow and learn on his own. I am way to protective of him, so I am trying very hard to let him do things on his own. He keeps asking me to let him do it and leave him alone so again, sniff, sniff, my family is growing up way to fast... Meg and Jake who never can just give me a smile without making a face...

He loves to pose...

Meg thinking she is to big for picture's on the first day of school, news flash until you are in Jr. high your doing it... (Doesn't she look sooo cute!)
Waiting for the bus to come, again I wasn't invited to wait with them so I had to take a picture from our front porch...

Me letting Jake grow up... this past Sunday he dressed himself from head to toe without anyone helping. What a good looking big boy!

35 REALLY??

This past week was my birthday, believe it or not I'm to the point that I really don't care much anymore about having a birthday. It just means that a bunch of people some you like, some you don't, ask you over and over "so how old are you?" Really, if I didn't tell you then it's really none of your business. "I'm old, ok are you happy now!" For some reason turning 35 has been hard for me to swallow, I look at many people I know family, friends all who are 35 and they look young and active. I look at me at 35 and see old and tired, I think maybe it's because most 35 year old's don't have five children, let alone half of them pre teen or teenagers. Been married over 16 years, etc. OK, OK enough of my self pity party.... I will move on to what makes my birthday fun and what helps me look forward to it every year!! My children started getting excited about my birthday 4 days in advance, they called up their day at work and LET him know he was taking them birthday shopping for me when he got home from work. They where NOT going to take NO for an answer he was going to do it. So for days all five of them gleamed from ear to ear with excitement for my birthday. When it finally came they had a debate on if they should give me my gift in the morning or evening. You see this gift that they have been gleaming over for days is something they pulled their money together and bought on their own. Which made it all that more special to them and me. They made me a great big breakfast, helped keep a eye on the little boys all day, and cleaned up the house. This in it's self was a great birthday gift. Finally Lynn got home from work and the real pretty could start, they made a very yummy dinner, and insisted on putting 35 candles on the cake... Josh and Travis trying to light ALL those birthday candles...

Jake doing his birthday dance...

"I DID IT", I blow all the candles out in one breath. Even with a cold I did pretty well...

"OH, look that gift they where sooo excited for, it's a can of olives. Yes, I do like olives, just maybe not this much...

"OH, wait it's a nice new iPod nano, purple even, one of my favorite colors. Sniff, sniff, my kids love me so much they spent their money they have worked for all summer mowing lawns, helping clean up yards for neighbors, on getting me something I have wanted for years, but the budget never allowed. I am one lucky mom, I have the BEST kids in the world!!
These are the flowers my loving husband got for me, what a wonderful family I have made. I love you all thank you for a great birthday!!!

Ready, Set, Run around, and around again!!!

You hear of women going crazy, losing it, ready to bite any one's head off, now I know where that's comes from, BACK TO SCHOOL!!! Three words I really don't like, it's time for the kids to go back to school. Don't get me wrong I have been waiting for the first day of school for about a month now. But all the back to school stuff that has to happen first is crazy. When my kids where younger it was fun to take them to look on the school doors and find out who they would have as a teacher for the next year. Now it's all about I need this, I need that, and you need to pay this fee, and you need to pay that fee. Oh ya, don't forget this, and don't forget that. Plus it really doesn't help having kids in three different schools from elementary to high school. Everything needed times 4 that adds up very fast and my bankcard is getting tried of running through are the stores. So now I can see the crazy women because that women is me. I just hope that my kids and I live through the next few days with out injuries, because once again the crazy women is here to stay. (For just 5 more days, then I think I will let her leave)

FINALLY A VACATION!!!

Here we go, we went to Disneyland for our family vacation this year and boy was it a fun adventure! Besides our car getting broken into and our back seat stolen, which is going to take a long time to replace because finding one like ours is a big task! We also lost Jake in Disneyland, my heart stopped and it took all I had to not cry and panic. As everyone started off in every direction I closed my eyes and said a prayer in my heart. The Lord blessed us, because when I finished my prayer I opened my eyes and through the sea of people I looked right at Jake. I grabbed Ben's hand and ran as fast as I could through the crowd. Again trying not to cry and upset Jake more, I just loved on him for days.

Ben with his favorite Disney movie, movie CARS...

Trav, Ben, and Josh on the Ferris Wheel. Lynn scared all the kids to death on this ride. They got on the rocking carts! The only one that loved it was Ben, more the wild the ride the better it was to him...

They are sooo cute, all they wanted was these swords...

Getting ready to ride the Toy Story ride...

Getting ready for the World of Color, they had a pre show it was so much fun. We loved the World of Color...

Having more fun waiting for the World of Color... For Jake and Ben it was all about the light sticks...

Having fun wait for Fantasmic and it was Fantasmic, the fireworks afterwards where just as great!! Mom and Ben...

Grandpa and Grandma working as hard as they could to make a funny face after a long day at Disneyland. We sure did have fun with them...

Lynn and Meg...

Jake and Josh...

Our day at the beach, we needed this nice break after finding our car had been broken into...

We had so much fun, and watching Ben and Jake loving Disneyland so much made it even better!!!

Our 24th of July

So we start off with a great day at mill creek canyon. We had a Squire cook out and as always with great food and fun with cousin's. Anyone who knows Ben knows that he hates to be dirty, this is way this picture is so funny. He can't see his face so he is happy!!!

Say what mom??

Girl's enjoying a S'more!!

Me getting Gracee Lyn all to myself, LOVE IT!

Josh's 15th Birthday!!

On July 25th, Josh turned 15, and all he could think about was that in a year he gets his driver licence. I asked him didn't you like this birthday, we went to lunch, got you the board game you wanted, made you a great dinner, and made you the birthday cake you wanted (which is a pain to make). He said yes I liked all of the above, but next year I get my driver's licence, I give up!!
So this is a picture of him in his new suit which I had to go to the men's to buy, thankfully Grandma Light gets coupons in the mail all the time for JCP. It helped out a lot, it's hard to have you kids grow up so fast. Now he is in young men's and much taller then me, all I can say is watch out dad he is catching up to you fast!!

The birthday cake that was a pain to make...

He made it all in one blow...
