Easter Comes Early This Year...

Because Easter falls on conference Sunday this year, I thought it would be nice to have the kids wear their new Easter clothes this Sunday. So we have a picture of them first standing in the sun and mom finally getting that they can't see to give a good smile so we change to a different area in the yard. I just love this picture call me crazy but I love the messed up pictures the most. Then we Meg in her nice Easter dress. Then we have Jake and Ben looking so sharp in their matching Easter outfits. Then finally a nice picture of the three of them together. I would love to give you a picture of the older boys Josh and Travis, but by the time I get myself put together to get pictures taken, they are gone to their priesthood meeting. Besides we all know how much they really miss getting their pictures taken. Just picture two really good looking missionaries and you will see Josh and Travis in their Easter clothes. So I got the order of the pictures wrong and I really don't want to spend time changing them so start from the bottom and you will be able to follow what I wrote!

Not Sure...

So after reading my last post on the missing out on first things with the kids my mother-in-law reminded me of somethings. After a morning of shopping with her which I love doing by the way. (I do have the best mother-in-law in the world) Anyway, she reminded me that I have a lot of first to come with my kids, first time driver license, first date, first going away to school, first going on a mission, the list can go on and on. But I'm not sure I am going to enjoy those first like I enjoyed the baby first stuff. Like driving, Josh driving, I know how he wants to drive because he tells me how to drive almost everyday. Dating with Travis the girls already will not leave him alone, and we will not even get into when Meg has her first baby. Lets just say I hope to be far away until the labor is over, then I will start the grandma thing and mother support. I know my mother-in-law is right there are just as many first to come, but like I said I'm not sure I'm ready. After all I'm still very young maybe to young to think about all that. Oh but wait, it starts in a year with driving and dating, and a little over 4 years and the mission thing. Boy, I better get started on preparing for those first. Somehow the first word, the first walk, the first run, the first day of school is looking nice right now!!!

Growing up to fast...

So my baby, yes my last, my youngest, my Ben gave his first talk today in primary. He looked sooo nervous but once he got up he did a great job. Lynn helped he with it and I was able to sit and watch. I know everyone gets a great feeling when their child gives a talk in primary, but for me this one was a little sad. This is just one more sign that my family is growing up. This is the last time I will have a first talk in primary, I will never have one in nursery again, or trips to the mother's room in church. I love my kids and I am happy they are growing up and are healthy and smart. But as a mother I am missing some of this first to do stuff!!!

So Happy...

These picture's help me remember what true happiness is... These are not perfect picture's there just all about life and having fun!!

Have you ever felt so happy like nothing in the world could keep you from smiling? The past five months or so I have been anything but happy. Besides selling my house fast, putting on weight and not knowing from day to day what my life or my family are going to do next. To moving in my parents home and making sure the house gets put back together after the big flood they had, and to do it before we move out and move on with life. Well I think that is it the not knowing when we are going to move on with life. Today I woke up HAPPY, I can't stop smiling I can wait to start the day, the cleaning the house helping the kids with whatever, the cooking a big breakfast to making a nice dinner. I have started to loose weight 4 pounds, not much I know but it's a start and maybe running everyday is working. Spring is here the flower's are starting to come up in my mom's yard. The house will be getting carpet in soon and then all will be done. And even now Lynn and I still don't know what is going to happen with life, is one of these interview's going to work out? Are we going to move out of state or not? Should we just stay with the church? I don't know all I know is I have put it into the Lord's hands. Who else would know my family better then me. So Lynn and I have started to look at houses, we have started to think should we build or buy existing. Who knows but it's a start and right now I'm HAPPY with life. I feel like things will move on that the Lord does have a plan for me and my family. And in the end that is all that matter's a HAPPY, successful, eternal family. That is what HAPPY is...

Singing TIme...

What is better then a ice cream cone for dessert, and thanks to Lynn and his Leatherby days he can make a perfect cone. Well tonight I saw something I haven't seen sense I was a kid. The ice cream cone became a microphone and I have never heard Bon Jovi's "Liven on a prayer" sung as "Liven on a hair". All I can say is I was very entertained and still laughing!!!

More Eagle Stuff...

So I had no idea that the country and our state recognize Eagle Scouts so much here are some of Josh's awards that have been coming in the mail the past week or so. I just want to leave this statistic with you that was told to Josh when he got he Eagle. Eagle Scout is the highest rank that can be attained by Scouts. Only 4 percent of youth who join Scouting earn this honor. The first pic is of the Flag that flew over the U.S. Capital the day Josh got the rank of Eagle Scout, the next one is from the U.S Congress and the last is from the Utah congress...

I love family night's...

Some of my favorite nights are Friday night when we rent our movies from red box (which I think is one of the best ideas in the past two years to come along) and pig out with our pizza and popcorn. The kids love picnic's on the floor and spending time with each other eating junk yes we feed our kids junk, and you know what they like it.

It's hard to believe...

I have done something I have not done for 20 years, yes I am that old. I went to my old high school, Taylorsville High. The thing that makes it so crazy and hard to believe is that I just register my son Josh for high school and college classes the reason I needed to go to the school. You know for the most part it looks the same. Plus it's kind of fun telling him were the classes are and that I still know some of the teachers that are still there teaching. Lets be real for a minute I'm really not that old 34 is young right, and to have a son going into 10th is good I will always be the young fun mom for him. When it gets to Ben we just will not talk about it anymore because I will be old! So for the next few years I will enjoy it. It's just fun to have my oldest two able to experience my Jr. high and High school's. When they talk about something or about the lunch room, or anything to do with the school it's fun to be in the loop and know exactly what they are saying....

I'm learning...

So it only took me two months but I finally got my comments to work I hope, so now people should be able to leave their comments. Now to leave a comment it must be all about me and my family and how we have to be the best looking, smartest, greatest people you have ever come to know. If it is anything else don't even worry about leaving a comment this blog is for self praising only!! Thanks so much The Squire Magnificent 7
