Relaxation...

I love being a mom, all my life that is all I wanted to be. I love that my Father in Heaven trust me with five of his beautiful spirits. But sometimes it's ok to run away. Run away from the moody teenagers, the emotionally charged little girl, and the run me ragged little boys. So this past weekend I did I ran away. I sat in a jetted tub for a few hours and ate everything that is bad and full of calories, and watched movies. So I did absolutely nothing for a full 24 hours. I slept in until my back hurt something that hasn't happened for a long time. Now I feel great like I can take everything the world brings on. So bring on the moody teens, the emotional girl, the crazy wild little boys, mama's back and fully charged!! I would like to thank Lynn for letting this weekend be all about me. I think he didn't mind running away with me. I would like to thank Josh and Travis for holding the fort down while Lynn and I were gone. RELAXATION a mom can't live without it.

Family Home Evening...

Last night was family night which I'm sure most of you all know. Well it was Josh's turn and I love when it is his turn. Josh as you well know is in his first year of seminary and he loves it. So last night we got his lesson he got in class. For your information we all failed it, it went something like this: on a piece of paper it read, Listen and follow directions carefully.

Sit reverently without talking, think about what the Savior has sacrificed for you. Nothing else!!
Write your name:
1- Who is your favorite singer/band?
2-What's your favorite food?
3-Who do you admire most?

So we all went quiet and started to fill out our paper. We all failed we weren't suppose to fill out our paper we were suppose to sit reverently and think of the Savior. So the lesson we all learned is we know what we should do but forget to listen and follow directions sometimes. I just would like to say thanks Josh I needed that reminder.

Who needs video games!!!

Everyday millions of kids beg and plea to play video games. In my house it's all about games but not video games card and board games are what my kids beg to play. Which as a mother I'm just fine with. So yesterday Ben was bored and asked if he could but a puzzle together. So we set out to put one together and he did put the most together. Ben likes things in order his order so I was not allowed to touch to much unless he got stuck on were a piece would go. It was so fun to see his little mind work!

Best looking guys around!!!

Remember when....

Do you remember when you were a teen and how great you would feel when you got new clothes? Today Josh got a really bad bloody nose, so instead of me taking him back to school we went shopping just like any good mom would do right? Well lately the boys have been asking me if I would buy them some clothes from Aeropostale everyone at school wears their clothes. So Josh and I went to see and we found some nice things. As a mom it was worth every dollar spent to see Travis and Josh's faces light up with their name brand clothes. I think these are the days as a mom I love most to see how buying something so small can make my kids so happy. Then I think back when I got name brand clothes and how happy it made me. Giggling comes to mind when I think about it, then again I was a girl.

I don't have pic of just Meg yet so here she is with her Christmas PJ on...

Why did I say I like Holidays?

I know I just got done saying I love Holidays, but that was before I remember all the cleanup I have to do after the holiday. So I'm once again behind in my blogging. It's been 2 days and I'm still trying to catch up on the house work. I think if we didn't have a Light family party Tuesday I would have had more time to get things done. But that's ok because it was a lot of fun. Everyone that lives in the valley but Christy was able to come. We were able to get all the family parties and events planned until spring. Today has been nice though, I like being able to stay home and just clean and relax. That's right I think it is relaxing cleaning the house. I was able to watch my nephews Matthew, and Nater today. They are so fun to watch play with Ben. I do have to say I'm glad to be done with the baby thing. It's nice to just have one child home, and with him it's easy going. Well I've rambled on long enough. I think it's a good time to take a nap!!!

I love Holidays

So we start the week off with some fun. Today Lynn and kids have the day off so what better way to spend time together then at good old Chuck E. Cheese. Because we only adventure out to Chuck E. Cheese once a year it's always fun to see the kids enjoy themselves so much. Grandpa and grandma Squire also joined this adventure. Ben loved the animated characters, and was even ok with getting a picture taken. So with three pizza's and as much soda as you can possibly drink, 1289 tickets, and everyone with their Chucky lollipop there's no better way to start the week off right.

It's all about boys...

I know why in the motherhood handbook when you look up boy scout's they don't have anything. If they did mom's all over the world would never start their boys down that road. All I have to say about it is there are no words to describe the smell when they come home from a scout camp!! And Travis came home from scout camp Saturday. Today Josh and Travis talked in church on our trip to Nauvoo this past Christmas to see my parents on their mission. I am so happy even though both were not feeling well they chose to do it and not skip out on it. They both did a great job and I could feel the love of their spirit's as they bore their testimony about what they felt and learned in Nauvoo.

Jake and Ben trying to feel some big shoes...

Catch up time...

So I missed Friday, not the best way to start off my goal. So I'm going to catch up, the family didn't have much going on. We had no school which the kids were happy about until I told them they get to help clean house. Travis had a scout camp yes in this very cold and very bad air. It also started a three day weekend for Lynn so we took the three little ones to dinner. We went to the new play area at Artic Circle hoping they would tire themselves out. Then it's movie night and yes Jake made sure we had popped our popcorn. All in all it was a nice peaceful day!

"The Wicked Gang" someone has to do it...
Jake, Ben, and their friend Brett.

What is it about early days...

So today is early day for Meg and Jake of course we had to have some drama. So here we go, today I got a call Meg missed the bus. She went on a school ski trip. So I heard the bus and went outside to get Jake off the bus and go to school and pick up Meg. One problem, no Jake that I could see. I went around asking the kids was Jake on the bus, they answered yes. I call the school back let them know I couldn't find Jake and that I will be there to get Meg as soon as I can. Then the phone rang it's Meg's friend Bailee, Jake is at her house with her. Big sigh of relief Jake is OK. Went to go get Meg and the school had been calling around trying to help find Jake. It made me feel better to know that the school does get that Jake has special needs. So the drama is over and the rest of the afternoon will be a relaxing one. I know were all my kids are!!

The movie I can't stand the most....

Ok so every year at Christmas time my family watches the Muppet's Christmas Carol. This is a tradition from Lynn's side of the family. And every year I don't look forward to this night. So we pop our popcorn and wrap up in our blankets at sit threw what I think is the worse movie. Well one month later I'm at wal-mart and Ben my three year old starts singing "it's Marley and Marley ohhhhh." but in his words it's, "Molly and Molly". All day he keeps singing and to tell the truth it's the cutest song on my list now.

I have broke down!

So I have finally decided to start a blog, mostly because I have been thinking I need to do better at saving my day to day happening's. So now my goal this year is to blog something fun, sad, happy, or just plan boring everyday. Don't think it's going to be about me, but you can expect my children most everyday. I am also going to try to take at least one picture a day of whatever I am thinking or doing with the fam. So we start and I hope I will be able to stick with it. I want to see how much the Magnificent 7 can do in a year or how much I really do forget about on the day to day life. I hope to work more on getting this blog put together and looking just the way I would like, but all in good time. The point today is to get started. So to all family and friends I guess you will just have to deal with it (ha ha). So as Jake would say "peace out"!
